Wishing to be recorded the son of her brother Pasios, Amotan, inscribed on the tablets of Hermaios, not yet being of the years sufficient to learn the art of inheritance from the present fifth year of Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus, the Emperor, teaching at the tablets of Pausire, son of Ammonios, of the Horsemen of Kambos; therefore, I deem it worthy to be inscribed Amotan among the students of the same year as is fitting. Wishing to apprentice Amoitas, the son of my deceased brother Pasion, who is registered at the workshop of Hermaios, but who is not yet of age to learn the weaving craft, from the current fifth year of Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus Imperator, under the teacher Pausiris, son of Ammonios, of the workshop of the Cavalrymen of the Plain. Therefore, I request that Amoitas be registered among the apprentices of the same year, as is proper. Farewell.
